Designing the headquarters of the famous Florentine perfumer Sileno Cheloni in the heart of Florence, was a real challenge. It required meticulous attention to detail and harmony. Located on San Niccolò Street in a stone and brick building in ancient Florence, known as “the street of artisans,” this laboratory was steeped in history but faded by time.
From the very beginning our main focus was to bring it back to life. We removed the layer of white to reveal the brick walls and the characteristic brick cross-vaulted arches, while the floor was skillfully restored with targeted practices. The store now overlooks the Florentine streets, welcoming customers with its deep blue walls. A shade which is the result of intense research, representative of the Sileno Cheloni brand.
The elegant atelier serves as an “experiential” laboratory, allowing the world of perfumery to be enjoyed by a wider audience. Riccardo Barthel's company has skillfully selected furniture, in harmony with the sumptuous sixteenth-century scent of Florence, while the warm lighting creates segments of shadow around the stone vaults. It is a vibrant place, home to the master's rich olfactory library - with over two thousand essences – and unforgettable sensory experiences.
